June 24, 2022 - #DetroitMichigan:
Protesters flocked to the street outside of Theodore Levin United States Courthouse to make their voices heard in response to the Supreme Court overturning #RoeVWade.

There have been far too many times we have had to march these streets in recent years, and this marks another one of those moments where we cannot remain silent.

Those with a uterus should not lose the choice to have a child, especially from Supreme Court Justices that who refuse to protect children from gun violence.

Those with a uterus shouldn’t have to have an extreme circumstance in order to have access to a safe and legal abortion.

Those who have a uterus shouldn’t have to fear for the future because our rights are no longer protected.

I’m gonna be real with you here: I just saw a screen recording of what Still Photo Galleries are gonna look like on Instagram soon, and they frankly look like 💩shit🚽.

I’ve been trying to continue to be optimistic and roll with the changes, do the Reels, study it and try to help everyone who’s still on this app with tips and tricks so we can still maintain our audiences. But today, I’m ✨choosing violence.✨

Instagram’s desperate attempt to mimic TikTok 📲 is becoming ridiculous, and their choice to take away views from our still images and graphics, while forcing us to create video content out of them has added extra steps to an already daunting task.

And we’ve all tried to keep up 🏃‍♀️ because we’re trying to be seen, while they are turning their back on who made them in the first place: 📸 #photographers and people who want to share still images as well as graphics.

It’s even changed how I have to negotiate #contentcreation for brands who still want my high res #productphotography 🎞 because I’m having to tell them “I can shoot the photos, but if you want the content to be seen for #InfluencerMarketing, doing #Reels is your best chance for views 🥺.”

While many of us have begun to try and create audiences elsewhere utilizing TikTok, Twitter, Twitch and YouTube, many of us have audiences that are HERE that just haven’t crossed over. And given the shift we’re about to see, many people, including myself, are predicting that Instagram’s reign as king might be finally coming to the end.

It won’t happen overnight, but with constant glitches, people getting their accounts deleted after years of hard work and growth, it’s time to make a change.

So today’s tip is: If there are #creators that you truly love that you follow on Instagram, begin to seek them out on other platforms and follow them there, as well as begin to grow yourself in more than just Instagram. Your future just might depend on it.
