AFTR - "HUMBOLDT SWAGGER"

In the honor of body positivity, Ami Nicole of ACRONYM and Pepper Gomez of Wake! Up Music Group formed an idea to bring together a group of Voluptuous Vixens to shake what they’ve got, all shapes and sizes. This video was the second video that got an MTV placement and received love and accolades for its celebration of big and tall babes who are ready to kick ass and take names.

At the last minute, one of the models could not make it, so Ami Nicole had to step in and be a model and dancer for the film, handing off the camera to an assistant to capture the footage. Ami Nicole, who’s no stranger to cameos in music videos, was able to pull it off, with the help and encouragement of the rest of the models on set, who were hooting and hollering at each other to keep the morale going.

Models: The Marvelous Melei, Lady Lolita Faye, Anna Mosity, Starling SGH, and ACRONYM.

MARCHE DU NAIN ROUGE 2019 (EVENT REEL)

MARCHE DU NAIN ROUGE is an event that occurs the first weekend of Spring in Detroit, MI, in which event-goers don red, show up in the Cass Corridor, and enjoy a Mardi Gras-style party while gearing up to banish the “Red Dwarf” from the city. The Red Dwarf is part of Detroit’s lore, who is said to have had a run-in with Antoine Laumet de La Mothe Cadillac, Detroit’s Founder. Cadillac, according to the legend, kicked the Dwarf, and in turn, the Dwarf bestowed a curse on Detroit, creating its bad luck for years to come. The attendees’ parade down Cass Avenue to the Masonic Temple, hear the Dwarf speak (and taunt), and then he’s shooed from the city for another year.

DETROIT PROTESTS GEORGE FLOYD'S DEATH, DEMANDS JUSTICE #BLACKLIVESMATTER

2020 was a disastrous year for humans, this much is known already. During the 2020 Pandemic, another terrible incident occurred, the murder of an African American male named George Floyd. His death, which was caught on camera, started a movement and ignited a series of protests all over the world. The #BlackLivesMatter organization already existed, but they came to the forefront during this time, and it became more than a name, but a culture.

Detroit, which has a majority population of African Americans, was one of the hot spots for protests, and many Black Individuals, as well as other allies, showed up to march in the streets, asking for justice for George Floyd, as well as others who had been murdered at the hands of Police Brutality.

Detroit ended up having a series of rough protests, and many of us (including myself) were tear-gassed, mistreated, and beaten by police, and witnessed racism and hatred first hand, and though George Floyd’s murderers were finally brought up on charges, there has been a lot of residual clean up, as well as continuations of protest, demanding justice for the Black population.

This video encompasses the first day of protests, with a slew of individuals marching down Michigan Avenue, and includes audio of Detroit’s Pro Tem Mary Sheffield speaking to the crowd. When the curfew came, everything had still been peaceful, but unfortunately, after this video was created, that evening, many police were beating people who were still out on the street, gassing them, detaining them at Little Caesars Arena, and putting some protestors in the hospital.

RECOVER POOL PARTY 2019, MD - CREAM LABS LLC (FORMERLY THE CREAM AGENCY) (EVENT REEL)

A cold DM to Patientce Foster (Cardi B’s Former Publicist, Creative Director for “WAP” with Megan Thee Stallion, Suite XVI and Cream Labs Founder) about being a possible influencer for the former Cream Agency event “Recover Pool Party” opened a whirlwind trip from Detroit to Deleware by car just to hang out for a couple of hours on a sprawling property with a slew of characters ready to party as hard as possible.

After getting approval from Foster, Ami Nicole of ACRONYM hopped in the car after a full week of Still Photography work on the ‘Wolf Hound’ film and drove all night to make it to the party, and captured the sights and sounds, as well as establishing a connection with Foster, who was astounded that she came all the way from Detroit just to be there. Sometimes you just have to take the chance!

SURE, THE SILVERDOME DEMO FAILED - BUT WE FOUND JIMMY HOFFA! (JOURNALISTIC REPORTING)

On December 3, 2017, the building that played host to the Detroit Lions and the famed Wrestlemania 3 where Hulk Hogan and Andre The Giant tore down the house was set to be demolished.

However, the Pontiac Silverdome, the building in question, had other plans. After a long and epic video where Ami Nicole of ACRONYM and Ric (@thisdjsucks) detail the entire event, interview people who came to see the building fall, and talk facts about the legacy of the building, the dome had the AUDACITY to NOT BLOW UP.

While it was a failure of epic proportions, Ric and Ami might have learned what happened to the legend Jimmy Hoffa, who disappeared many years ago and has remained a cold case for all these years.

RALPHI ROSARIO – THE SHAMANIC REMIX

PEPPER GOMEZ FEATURING TACBOY "OH MY HEART" (MUSIC VIDEO & LYRIC VIDEO)

During the Pandemic, there were limited options when it came to filming a video for the remixed versions of Andrew Kitchen’s Original Tune “My Heart Plays For You,” so Ami Nicole of ACRONYM had to improvise, which lead to a stop-motion styled film using photographs of Tacboy and ambient overlays to create something inviting and engaging for the Eric Kupper Dub Remix.

The lyric video, which showcases Ralphi Rosario’s remix under The Shamanic was highlighted in the press when released, and was noted as being an enjoyable watch with creative designs, despite it being “just a lyric video.”

ABANDONED SCHOOL | DETROIT URBEX DOCUMENTS

In a series called “Detroit Urbex Documents,” Ami Nicole of ACRONYM and @danmyls explored an Urbex-famed school deep in Detroit. The building shown had been vacant for quite some time, but another set of explorers set fire to its grand auditorium, leaving it to be a shell of what it used to be, still beautiful in its own haunting way.

Not long after this explore was done, a body was found on the property and it became inaccessible.

WHAT CHRISTMAS REALLY LOOKS LIKE FROM THE STREETS

There is a large homeless population in Detroit, MI, and during the Holiday Season, it becomes even more apparent how these people are in need. As it gets colder, you will find many of them sleeping on the sidewalk, with shelters at capacity.

Ami Nicole of ACRONYM created a film to elicit a shock-and-educate moment for those who ignore or selectively avoid homeless people on the street by starting with happy Detroit iconography during the holidays to what it really looks like on the other side.
